IIT-Bombay's 1991 Batch Gives Rs. 8 Crore Fund for Legacy Project
The fund which is granted by the 1991 batch will be deployed for the well-being of students.
Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay's 1991 batch has given a fund of Rs. 8 crore for a legacy project. The project has been adopted by the 1991 batch to mark its Silver Jubilee, and the project will play a significant role in the development of institute and people associated with it.
The fund which is granted by the 1991 batch will be deployed for the well-being of students. The funds will be used for introducing scholarship programmes for students, upgrading hostel facilities and improving facilities for student counselling.

The alumni of IIT-Bombay have been making significant contributions to the development of the institute. One of the alumni members revealed that their main aim is to place IIT-Bombay in top ranks. He assured that the alumni members would continue their support. He further added that IIT-Bombay would become one of the best centre for promoting the advanced technical system of education in the country.
On this occasion, Pramod Chaudhari, Executive Chairman of Praj Industries as well as alumni of IIT-Bombay signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the institute to promote advanced technical education through the establishment of Learning and Teaching Centre.

He revealed that IIT-B is solely responsible for what they had achieved so far. He further added that he has learnt his early lessons on engineering and entrepreneurship at IIT-B which helped him to achieve success in career.
Alumni networks of IIT-B have been very active in the recent years. During the recent placements season, these networks helped students on how to succeed in interviews.
