IIT Kanpur Signs MoU with Tel Aviv University to Enhance Cyber Security
IIT Kanpur comes together with Tel Aviv University to work on cyber security research work.
There are two things that Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur (IIT-K) is working on:
- Working on its cyber security research work
- Making contacts and alliances with top institutions across the world.
In order to promote research, strengthen academic relationship and enhance teaching projects, MoU has been signed between IIT-Kanpur and Blavatnik Interdisciplinary Cyber Research Center (ICRC) of Tel Aviv University.

Prof Sumit Ganguly who teaches computer science and engineering to the students at IIT-K says that Blavatnik ICRC is a major cyber security centres in Israel and in the world and looks forward to a great connection and relationship with them in the future.
One of the activities, both the institutes look forward to is the exchange of graduate students, postdoctoral researchers and faculty throughout the year.
After this MoU, the two institutes will collaborate in building cyber security technology. Currently, IIT-K is in the process of building a centre of excellence in cyber security.

Earlier, IIT-K was working on similar terms with Tandon School of Engineering, New York University.
Some of the common areas of research for both the institutes are smart agriculture, smart city, sewage and water treatment, machine learning, signal processing, alternative governance models for cyber security, big data analytics, utilities, transportation and privacy-preserving cryptography and cryptanalysis.
