Jamia Millia Islamia Postgraduate Students Stage Protest Against Offline Exams

While classes were held offline, the Jamia authorities said that the exams would be held in the physical mode as planned.
Tuesday marks the beginning of exams for most postgraduate courses, including MAs (Human Rights), MBAs, MAs (Political Science), as well as MAs (Public Administration). Vivek Singh, a postgraduate student said that "I have boycotted the exam because we have only had classes in online mode for two months currently. How can students be expected to memorize everything and give exams outside of class?"

Apparently, Mr. Singh and all of his classmates boycotted Tuesday's exam. The administration should conduct exams in an offline mode, said Muhammad, a final year postgraduate student. JMI's chief proctor, Waseem Ahmad Khan, has also received a memorandum from students.
The chief proctor, Waseem Ahmad Khan said that some students boycotted their exams and demanded that the exams be held online. "We have made it clear that in the February 20 meeting it was decided that exams for courses for which there were no online classes will be conducted offline," he said.
