JoSAA Counselling 2022 Seat Allotment Result for 2nd Round Released at josaa.nic.in

NEW DELHI: The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) has released the JoSAA 2022 round 2 seat allotment results today, September 28, 2022, in online mode at josaa.nic.in. As the result is declared, eligible candidates will be able to verify and download their seat allocation results. To access the JoSAA round 2 seat allocation results, candidates will have to enter their application numbers and passwords. Shortlisted applicants for round 2 JoSSA seat allocation must confirm their admission by attending the institution in person and submitting the admission fee by October 1. JoSAA will award seats to the selected candidates based on their merit, the choices they made while filling out the online application for JoSAA counselling, and the availability of seats.

The online reporting, fee payment, document upload, and candidate answer to inquiry for round 2 of JoSAA counselling will take place from September 28 to October 1, 2022. Candidates can request a seat withdrawal or leave from the round 2 seat allocation procedure from September 29, 2022 (from 10 a.m). to October 1 at 5, 2022 (5.00 p.m). 

Previously, the JoSAA seat allocation round 1 result was announced on September 23. Candidates have until 5 p.m. on September 26 to report online for admission, as well as pay the counselling cost and upload the relevant documents.

How to Check JoSAA 2022 Round 2 Seat Allotment Result?

Follow the instructions given below to check the JoSAA round 2 seat allotment 2022.

Step 1: Visit JoSAA's official website, josaa.nic.in

Step 2: To sign in, enter your JEE Main Roll Number, Password, and Security PIN.

Step 3: On the candidate's login page, choose the seat allotment option.

Step 4: Your seat allocation selection will be shown on the screen.

Step 5: Choose an option such as Freeze/Float/Slide.

Step 6: Accept the seat by choosing Freeze, then upload the documentation and pay the seat acceptance fees. 

Freeze, Float & Slide Option

Candidates will have three options after accessing the JoSAA Round 2 seat allotment results:

Freeze

Candidates who received a better seat allotment in Round 2 should go for the freeze option (as per the first choice). Such candidates will not be permitted to select Float/ Slide. Candidates who have frozen their seats must upload their papers and pay the seat acceptance cost of Rs. 35,000 (Rs. 15,000 for reserved sections).

Float

Candidates who did not receive a seat based on their initial choice and wish to be considered for a better allocation in the further rounds can select the 'Float' option. Such applicants should be aware that their current allocation will not be rescinded until they receive a better allotment in subsequent rounds.

Slide

Candidates who want to take a higher course within their assigned institute might select the Slide option. In such instances, the previously assigned seat will not be revoked until the applicants receive a better seat allocation in the following rounds.
