JoSAA Counselling 2024

JoSAA Counselling 2024: JoSAA 2024 counselling will start on June 10, 2024 (tentatively). The whole schedule for the JoSAA 2024 counselling process will be available on the official website at josaa.nic.in. JoSAA 2024 dates for choice filling and counselling will be tentatively announced in June 2024.The counselling process for JoSAA 2024 will consist of 6 rounds via online mode on the official website josaa.nic.in. Candidates scoring a rank in the JEE Main 2024 and JEE Advanced 2024 are eligible to participate in the counselling process. JoSAA 2024 Counselling is done for admission to B.Tech programmes at 23 IITs, 32 NITs, 26 IIITs, and 33 Other-GFTIs (as per previous years' data).

Through JoSAA counselling candidates can fill up their course and college preferences in the field of engineering. Based on these preferences, candidates will be allocated seats in the JoSSA participating colleges through JoSAA counselling. Candidates who passed JEE Advanced are eligible for admission to IITs, and candidates who cleared the JEE Main are eligible for admission to NITs, IIITs, and GFTIs. Important Notice Regarding Physical Verification Process and Dates for PwD Candidates in JoSAA 2024

For IITs:

  • The physical verification process for JEE (Advanced) 2024 qualified PwD candidates starts on the first day of JoSAA 2024 choice filling will continue throughout the counselling rounds of JoSAA 2024.

  • It is mandatory for each qualified PwD candidate to complete the physical verification process by the end of the counselling round in which they are allocated a seat (if applicable). Failure to do so will result in the cancellation of the allocated seat.

  • Before appearing for physical verification, candidates must register on the JoSAA 2024 portal.

  • Candidates must select a specific IIT, date, and time (FN/AN) for physical verification using the link provided on the JoSAA 2024 portal prior to their visit.

For NIT + System:

  • The physical verification process for JEE (Main) 2024 qualified PwD candidates starts on the first day of JoSAA 2024 choice filling and will continue throughout the counselling rounds of JoSAA 2024.

  • It is mandatory for each qualified PwD candidate to complete the physical verification process by the end of the counselling round in which they are allocated a seat (if applicable). Failure to do so will result in the cancellation of the allocated seat.

Home Quota Rules for Admission in NITs

For all NITs that are located in different states, half of the seats are reserved under Home Quota (HS) and the rest of the seats are reserved under AI (All-India). Candidates aspiring for admission under Home Quota must have passed Class 10, and 12 from the respective state and have a domicile certificate. Apart from this, the candidates must have a valid rank in JEE Main.

JoSAA Counselling 2024 Registration Process

Candidates can register themselves in order to participate in JoSAA counselling 2024. To register for the JoSSA 2024 counselling follow the instructions given below.

Step 1: Visit the JoSAA 2024 official website

Step 2: Select the JoSSA counselling 2024 link for registration

Step 3: Enter your JEE Main 2024 roll number and password to register. Candidates who have cleared JEE Advanced 2024 can log in using their JEE Advanced roll number

Step 4: There is no need to fill in any other details in order to register as all the personal and academic details of the candidates will be fetched from their JEE Main and JEE Advanced forms respectively

Step 5: Review the specifics and validate them again

Candidates will be required to update their contact details for JoSAA 2024 counselling. It is also mandatory to change the password while registering for counselling. 

JoSAA Counselling 2024 Choice Filling

  • Applicants will be able to view choices according to their eligibility criteria, i.e. those who have qualified JEE Main will be able to choose from NITs, IIITs and GFTIs and those who have cleared JEE advanced will be able to choose from IITs

  • The initial step in the JoSAA 2024 choice filling is to select the streams and institutes where the candidate wants to apply. Then the candidates will be required to arrange these choices in order of their preference, i.e. from most preferred to least preferred by using the ‘Arrange Filled Choices’ option

  • Read your preferences carefully and use the ‘Choice Rearrange’ and ‘Choice Interchange’ to make changes to your list if needed. A ‘Multiple Deletion’ option is also provided to delete multiple choices

  • Once you are certain about your preference list and the order that it follows, save the choices

JoSAA Counselling 2024 Choice Locking

After you are done selecting and arranging your preferences you can either choose the ‘I agree to lock my choices’ option or you can select the ‘I will lock my choices later option. It is important to select the ‘I agree to lock my choices’ option before the last date since auto-locking on choices takes place thereafter. Take a printout of your preference list by entering your JEE Advanced/ JEE Main roll number and password respectively

JoSAA Mock Allotment 2024

The Joint Seat Allocation Authority conducts the JoSAA 2024 mock allotment which enables candidates to predict their admission chances into their preferred colleges. JoSAA releases the JoSAA mock allotment result on the official website josaa.nic.in. If the colleges and courses allotted during mock allotment are not satisfactory, then the candidates can accordingly modify their order of preference. Since the JoSAA mock allotment result is not final, the candidates are provided enough time to make the necessary changes in the order of preference.

JoSAA Seat Allotment 2024 

JoSAA seat allotment 2024 will be conducted online on the basis of the preference list submitted by students and the merit list prepared by the authorities. Candidates who qualify for the cut-off criteria set by JoSAA 2024 will be added to the JoSAA rank list 2024.

JoSAA Rank List 2024

Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) will release the rank list of JoSAA 2024 after the JEE Main and JEE Advanced results are declared. A separate rank list will be released for the different categories of candidates. JoSAA counselling opening and closing rank list will be prepared on the basis of marks secured in JEE Main 2024 or JEE Advanced 2024. What After JoSAA Counselling 2024?

Candidates will be allotted seats across 6 rounds of JoSAA counselling 2024. Candidates accepting the seats in the earlier rounds are required to pay the seat acceptance fee and report to the allotted institute with the necessary documents to complete the further verification and admission process. Candidates who are not satisfied with the seats allotted to them can wait for better allotments in the further rounds. The Central Seat Allocation Board conducts two separate rounds of counselling for candidates who fail to get a seat via JoSAA counselling.

JoSAA Cutoff 2024

The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) will release the JoSAA 2024 cutoff in the form of opening and closing ranks for all IITs, NITs, IIITs and GFTIs across 6 rounds. Meanwhile, candidates can take a look at the previous years' JoSAA cutoff provided below for reference.

JoSAA Reporting Centres 2024

Those candidates who will be allocated seats will have to report to the assigned reporting centres for verification of documents. Candidates will have to carry all original mark sheets and other necessary documents at the time of verification. Those who fail to produce original documents will fail the verification round and their admission will be cancelled. Candidates who have been allocated institutes other than NITs, IIITs and GFTI will have to report at the respective institute in order to confirm their admission by paying the remaining part of the first-semester fee

  • Class 12th Mark Sheet/ Certificate

  • Class 10th Mark Sheet

  • Category Certificate (only applicable for SC/ ST/ OBC-NCL/ General-EWS)

  • In the case of the OBC-NCL/GEN-EWS category, the certificate must be issued on or after April 01, 2024

  • JEE Main Admit Card

  • Original Certificate for Persons with Disabilities (PwD), if applicable, issued by the competent authority

  • Crossed Bank Cheque copy / Image of Passbook with bank account details

  • Medical Certificate (in specified Format available on JoSAA-2024 format)

  • OCI/PIO card, if applicable

There are certain documents that candidates must keep handy and upload on the counselling portal for the JoSAA 2024 IIT counselling. Candidates will need the following documentation for JoSAA IIT counselling 2024.

Candidates will be offered admission into the participating institutes of JoSAA via the JoSAA 2024 counselling. Based upon the JEE Main scores, the candidates can apply for allotment into NITs, IIITs and GFTIs. Allotment in IITs is done for JEE Advanced qualified candidates.

Thanks for contacting Collegedkeho Q & A portal. I want to inform you that  Sharda University does not offer any Diploma course for mechanical engineering. It only offers two Diploma courses: Diploma in Clinical Medical Practises from Allied Health Science and Pharmacy and a Diploma in Pharmacy from the Pharmacy sector. 

Though University also offers below mentioned courses in the Mechanical Engineering branch. Students who will enrol for the B.Tech course need to pay around 1.9 L per annum.
