Students from Kashmir Visited Capital to be a part of MHRD’s Exchange Programme
- Delhi University invited students from Kashmir on the behalf of MHRD's student exchange programme to inform students about application and admission procedure.
- Students were an active part of the drive and showed keen interests in the presentations and conferences.
DUinvited more than 350 school going children from Kashmir on 23 January 2018 as a part of Ministry of Human Resource DevelopmentMHRD student exchange programme - Maiteryi Yatra. The students who are studying in class 9th to 12th were informed about the variouscolleges inDelhiUniveristyand the courses offered by these colleges. As a part of the exchange programme candidates were also informed in detail about the admission procedure and how to follow up the same.

The students were an active part of the drive and took a keen interest in thecourses offered by the Delhi Universityand asked a number of questions regarding admission process and other facilities provided by the university. The university is soon going torelease the admission guidelines.
Mohammad Ayub, Principal DH Pora Kulgarm, who was accompanying the students from the valley informed the authorities that the students were really excited about their visit to the capital. For many students, it was their first trip toDelhi. Students carefully listened to the presentations shown by theDU officials. They even asked a lot of questions to the officials regarding percentage required, hostel facilities, merit lists,application procedureetc.

Iriza Hamid, one of the students from Srinagar, informed the DU officials that she loved the infrastructure and environment of the university. She also added that she felt inspired by it and would love to be a part of this prestigious university.
A Q&A session was also conducted by the deputy dean of student’s welfare Gurpreet Singh Tuteja which was mainly about the university resources and facilities for theKashmiri studentsand other disabled minorities.
