Kashmir's Super 30: Students of Army Crack JEE Main 2019
Students, under the supervision and guidance of the officials from the Indian Army, have successfully cleared the Joint Entrance Examinations (JEE Mains) that were conducted this year. Army has been responsible for providing education and free coaching to the students from the remote areas of Kashmir.
More than 40 students from a centre and Army run programme have been successful in clearing the JEE Mains Examinations. The students had been studying under the Super 30 programme which is an initiative that that has been started by the Central Government and the Indian Army. The programme has been designed to improve education among the Kashmiri students as well as social responsibility in Kasmir.
The Centre Run programme is a programme that provides free education to the students of Kashmir, belonging to the economically weaker sections. The coaching classes and the responsibility of teaching the students who belong to some of the most disturbed areas of Kashmir had been taken up by the 15 corps in the Indian Army.

The students who have been taught by the officials of the Indian Army have been outshining many students across India in different platforms. In this year’s CBSE Class 10 board examination results, there had been an overall passing percentage of 100% in the Army Goodwill Schools that are located in Jammu and Kashmir.

The Indian Army, along with protecting the country from enemy forces at the border, they have also been doing their part in educating as well as providing various facilities to the children of Jammu and Kashmir. The Army has been part of the Sadbhavna Project, under which it educates more than 15,000 students in Jammu and Kashmir. They also are responsible for employing about a 1000 teaching as well as non-teaching staff in the Northern Command.
