KCET Option Entry Date 2023: know when choice filling begins

The Karnataka Examinations Authority has yet to announce the official date of the commencement of KCET option entry. As per the experts, the KCET choice-filling process will likely begin this week and the details will be soon updated on the official website. The candidates who have submitted the KCET counselling application form successfully by the scheduled date will be eligible to participate in the option entry. In the KCET choice-filling process, the candidates will be able to enter the list of their preferred colleges, where they can take their admission. Hence, to get a seat in the KCET seat allotment process, the candidates are advised to enter the maximum number of options from the available list, since there is no limitation on the number of entering choices. Post that, the authority will release the KCET seat allotment result based on the options entered by the candidates and the availability of seats in the participating colleges. 

To fill out the KCET options, the candidates should refer the seat matrix pdf. It gives a clear idea about the vacant seats in the participating colleges. Note, if the candidates had secured a seat in any of the disciplines via KEA in the previous years, but did not surrender the seat due to their dissatisfaction by the last date, they will not be eligible for the respective disciplines to get a seat in the allotment round. Nonetheless, they are eligible to appear for any other disciplines.

KCET Option Entry 2023: Steps to Follow

Here are the steps the candidates should follow while filling out the options during the KCET 2023 choice-filling process:

• Visit the official website- cetonline.karnataka.gov.in
• Login to the official website using the secret key and password
• Click on the KCET option entry link and find out the list of courses for which the candidates can fill out the choices
• Once the candidates select the course, they will see the list of colleges, which offer the respective courses
• Candidates should enter the priority number as 1, 2, 3…. Of each of the courses and colleges. Note, that the priority number must be chosen in the sequential order
• If the candidates want to select a different course, then they should click on the “College Type” again and then add the priority numbers
• Before submitting, click on the “View selected options” to check the list of entered options
