NEET UG 2018 Guidelines: Check List of Prohibited Items and Dress Code Here

The National Eligibility Entrance Test (NEET UG) will be organised by CBSE tomorrow, i.e May 6, 2018. The Board has released a notification mentioning exam rules and guidelines. CBSE has announced the detailed guidelines that all applicants are supposed to follow on the day of NEET 2018 exam. Along with the rules to prevent cheating and malpractices, NEET 2017 admit cards have also been released.

CBSE has released the list of prohibited items, dress code and other rules for candidates who will be appearing for the NEET exam this year. Check out the list of instructions announced by CBSE for NEET 2018. The NEET Exam centres will open up 2 hours 30 minutes prior to the exam in order to conduct the checking and frisking smoothly.

CBSE’s Guidelines for NEET 2018:

• Dress Code: Candidates have been asked to wear light half sleeves clothes. They must ensure that the attire they have chosen for the exam day does not comprise huge brooch, buttons, badges or flowers.
• Frisking: Candidates will be frisked thoroughly before they are allowed to enter the exam hall. This activity is part of the exam rules and hence the CBSE has adviced the students to not wear any objectionable dress or clothes with metals that can get them into trouble while they are being checked for any illegal metallic items or other such prohibited devices.
• Banned Items: Jewellery including ring, nose-pin, earrings, chain/necklace, pendants, etc. are not allowed inside the exam centre. Apart from this, wallet, handbags, goggles, belt, watch/wristwatch, health band, cap, bracelet, metallic items, cameras, calculators, electronic pen/scanner, geometry/pencil box/pouch, pen, bits of paper, log table, any metallic item, eraser, bluetooth, mobile/smartphones, pagers, earphones, microphones, etc. are also not allowed in the exam hall.
• Footwear: Candidates are not allowed to wear shoes inside the exam hall. Candidates can wear sandals or slippers (without heels) to the exam hall.
• Customary dress: Candidates who have to wear a customary dress, like burkha, will have to report at the exam centre at least an hour before the exam so that they can go through the frisking process without any disruptions.
• ItemsAllowed: Candidates are allowed to carry their admit cards with their passport size photo on it and an additional passport size photo for the attendance sheet.

Instructions have also been provided by the board regarding the appropriate dress code that applicants are supposed to follow. Students are only allowed to wear slippers and sandals in order to appear for NEET 2018. Check out the detailed guidelines on the official exam website.
