NEET-UG AIQ Counselling 2018 Seat Allocation Results Put on Hold
- MCC has delayed NEET-UG AIQ Round 2 seat allocation results 2018 due to Madras HC’s order. CBSE is likely to approach Supreme Court challenging the order of Madras HC.
The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has issued an official notice stating that NEET-UG AIQ counselling 2018 Round 2 seat allocation process is delayed due to Madras HC’s order on awarding grace marks to NEET-UG 2018 Tamil examinees. The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is planning to approach Supreme Court (SC) challenging the order of Madras HC.
A couple of days back, Madurai bench of Madras HC directed CBSE to award 196 marks to NEET-UG 2018 Tamil examinees to compensate translation errors in the question paper.
As per the court order, 49 questions in NEET-UG 2018 Tamil medium question paper were not clear, as the English words were not properly translated into the Tamil language. Students faced a lot of difficulty during the exam. With an aim to do necessary justice to the candidates, the High Court has come up with this order.

As CBSE is planning to approach Supreme Court challenging the order of Madras HC, it is interesting to see whether the Apex Court grants relief to NEET-UG Tamil examinees or CBSE or not. The candidates need to wait a couple of days for the final decision.

MCC was to announce NEET-UG AIQ Round 2 seat allocation results on July 12, 2018. As per the request of CBSE, MCC has postponed the release of seat allotment results. The results will be released after the final decision of Supreme Court on Madras HC order.
