About NEET UG 2019

Candidates qualifying the NEET UG entrance examination can register at mcc.nic.in as the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has begun the registration for NEET Mop-up Round on August 13, 2019. The registration process for the Mop-up Round will end on August 15, 2019. 

NEET UG is one of the most popular entrance exams conducted in India for admission in medical courses (MBBS) and dental courses (BDS) offered at Private/Government medical colleges of India as well as abroad.  After the exam, an All India Rank list based on the instructions of the Medical Council of India is prepared on the basis of which candidates are allotted seats. From 2019, NTA will conduct the NEET exam. The application and exam dates for NEET 2019 have been released. The exam was scheduled to be conducted on 5th May 2019 all over the nation.

NEET UG Conducting Body

The National Testing Agency (NTA) will be conducting the National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (UG). Earlier, the responsibility of conducting the exam was with CBSE. The exam is conducted for admission to various medical and dental courses of India. As far as NEET is concerned, the responsibility of NTA is limited to conducting the entrance examination, announcing the result and providing All India Ranks to the Directorate General Health Services, Government of India.

NEET UG 2019 Important Dates

The exam was scheduled to be conducted on 5th May 2019 all over the nation. Due to the cyclone FANI and adverse weather conditions in Orissa and West Bengal, NEET 2019 in these two states has been postponed. The date of examination for Orissa has now been scheduled to take on 20th May 2019 whereas the date of examination for West Bengal is yet to be announced by the exam conducting authority.
