SRM University Bags QS 4 Star Rating

SRM University has achieved another milestone by achieving the ‘4 Star’ rating from ‘QS (Quacquarelli Symonds)’, a renowned global higher education company which has more than 250 employees across five continents spanning over 25 languages. Only two universities in India have achieved this unique feat while a total of 50 universities across the globe. Apart from winning ‘4 Star’ rating, SRM University has also bagged the maximum of ‘5 Star’ rating on Employability, Teaching and Inclusiveness.
‘QS’ is popular all over the world for publishing the QS World University Rankings, one of the most popular university ranking systems. Apart from ranking the universities across the globe, QS also conducts QS Star Rating that allows students to get a broader picture of the quality of institutes figuring out everything from the employability of graduates to community engagement and sports facilities. The rankings and star rating to the institutes will help the students to be selective while joining the institutes.
The ranking authority evaluates the institutes and universities across the globe through various parameters and performance indicators as set against pre-established international standards. Apart from covering a broader range of criteria than any world ranking exercise, QS Stars focus on the diversity and excellence of the rated institution.
The star rating given evaluates an institution against 50 different indicators and awards universities between one star and five stars across eight wider fields.

QS awards the overall rating based on the above-mentioned parameters. The process of rating the universities takes place for 8-10 months for which the respective university goes through a rigorous audit by QS. The same process started for SRM University in December 2016.
SRM University has joined the list of a prestigious group of universities in the world with the ‘4 Star’ rating by QS. The rating is more than the ranking apart from being comprehensive.
