SSC to Disclose Marks of Non- Recommended Candidates for Other Employment Opportunities
The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has taken a decision to disclose the marks of its candidates on public domains for other employment opportunities. The option is available for the exams which took place after November 2020.
The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has taken a decision to disclose the marks of its candidates on public domains for other employment opportunities. The option will be available for only those candidates who appear in the final stage of the recruitment exam but were not able to qualify for an appointment.
The opportunity will be available for the exams which took place from November 2020 onwards as per the official notification of SSC. As per the information available on the career portal of NCS, the facility is being provided by the following:
- Union Public Service Commission (UPSC)
- Railway Recruitment Boards (RRB)
- Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO).
The government has asked the recruiting agencies to disclose the marks of non-recommended candidates with the aim of providing a useful database to other employers. This will help them to identify good employable candidates. Candidates will have the option, at the time of filling up of application form, from opting out of disclosing the above details publicly.
The agencies will reveal information such as the candidate's name, father/ husband's name, DOB, Gender, Category, Educational Qualification, Total marks secured by the candidates in the qualifying examination, ranking by which the merit is decided/ address, and email ID. Only those candidates who opt for the disclosure scheme will have their information released on the official websites
