It is one of the most sought-after railway exams in the country conducted to fill up as many as 1,03,769 vacancies for various Level-1 posts such as Track Maintainer Grade-IV, Helper/ Assistant, Assistant Pointsman, etc. in various technical departments and production units of Indian Railways.

RRB Group D Exam 2023 Eligibility Criteria

If you are interested in applying for the RRB Group D examination, then you will need to ensure that you have satisfied the RRB Group D Exam 2023 eligibility criteria. As part of the eligibility criteria for the RRB Exam 2023, the candidates need to have the following educational qualifications.

RRB Group D Educational Qualification

  • Passed Class 10 from any institution recognized by NCVT or SCVT or any equivalent degree.

  • Candidates will also be eligible for admission if they have a National Apprenticeship Certificate

Note: Recent notifications have announced that an ITI degree is no longer a mandatory requirement.

RRB Group D Age Limit

Apart from educational qualifications, the candidates will also be required to lie between the age bar that has been defined by the Railway Recruitment Board. As per the criteria, candidates between the ages of 18 and 33 will be eligible for the posts vacant in the industry. RRB has provided relaxation for the candidates belonging to the reserved category. As per the guidelines, the candidates belonging to the reserved categories will have varying levels of relaxation.

  • SC/ST Candidates - Relaxation of 5 years

  • OBC - Relaxation of 3 years

  • People with Disabilities PWD - Relaxation of 10 years

  • PWD SC/ST - Relaxation of 15 years

RRB Group D 2023 Online Application Process

The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) will release the RRB Group D application form 2023 on its official website at rrb.gov.in. Check the steps below to fill out the RRB Group D 2023 application form.

  • Go to the official website of RRB at rrb.gov.in

  • Click on the registration link and provide details such as name, date of birth, father’s name, mother’s name, Aadhaar Number, SSLC/Matric registration number, year of passing, mobile number, email ID, etc.

  • Once you have successfully registered, verify your email ID and mobile number through OTP.

  • Now click on the 'Already Registered' button on the homepage and enter your registration number and password.

  • You will see the RRB Group D 2023 application form which you need to fill out.

  • In Part I of the application page, provide the details of your educational qualification, community, gender, religion, Ex-Servicemen, CCAA, Minority, Economically Backward Class, Age Relaxation, etc.

  • In Part II of the application page, provide your priority/preference for the posts.

  • Pay the application fees using online net banking/credit card/debit card/UPI or offline Challan.

  • Choose the exam language and provide details of a valid photo ID card.

  • Enter your bank details to get the refund of fees, in case of application rejection.

  • Upload your scanned images of the photograph and signature as per the format.

  • If you belong to the SC/ ST/ PwD category, then upload the category certificates

  • Agree to the terms and conditions and submit the application form

RRB Group D Exam 2023 Application Fee

For your applications to be accepted, you must complete the RRB Group D Exam 2023 application fee. All the candidates who appear for the RRB Group D exam 2023 will be refunded the application fee that they will pay at the time of applying. Reserved Category applicants will receive a full refund on their application form. Meanwhile, the candidates belonging to the general category will receive a refund of ₹400.

RRB Group D PET comprises different physical activities for male and female candidates. Check the exam pattern below.

RRB Group D Exam 2023: Result

For each stage of the hiring process, Railway Recruitment Cells (RRCs) publish the RRB Group D result online separately. The result is made public on the RRBs' official websites. Results for RRB Group D are available in PDF format and include the roll numbers of eligible candidates. Those who pass the CBT exam are invited to take the Physical Standard Test (PST) or Physical Efficiency Test (PET). Those who pass the PET/PST are invited for a medical examination and document verification. As long as candidates pass the PET/PST, document verification, and medical exam, their final selection is made based on how well they performed in the computer-based test. RRB Group D Exam 2023 Selection Process

After the candidates have appeared for the RRB Group D CBT exam, the board will shortlist the candidates based on their performance in the examination. After the CBT result, selected candidates will need to go through the PET or Physical Efficiency Test. Those who clear these tests will be called upon for the document verification process, which is the final process in applying for the programme.
