Both ruling and opposition parties in Tamil Nadu have criticised centre’s decision to conductNEET (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test) twice a year. The representatives have been demanding the central government to revoke the decision and conductNEETonly once in a year. The new move will create unnecessary confusion among the students in some way or the other, they opined.

As per theofficial schedule released by NTA, NEET will be conducted in February and May. The government of Tamil Nadu stated that it would be difficult for students to appear for NEET twice in the same year. The six-month period will be short and students may feel unnecessary pressure. Education Minister of Tamil Nadu, Mr. KA Sengottaiyan is planning to take up the issue with Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi.
