AP EAMCET 2020 Postponed, To be Conducted in September
The suspense on AP EAMCET 2020 exam date has been cleared, and the entrance exam scheduled from July 27, 2020, has been postponed. The entrance exam is expected to be conducted in the third week of September.
AP EAMCET 2020 which is scheduled to be conducted from July 27 to 31, 2020, has been postponed. APSCHE has cleared the suspense on the exam date of the entrance exam. The entrance test will now take place in September. Other popular exams like JEE Main, TS EAMCET and BITSAT have also been postponed. The helpline of AP EAMCET has been receiving constant queries from the students with regard to the exam date. AP HRD/ Education Minister, A. Suresh convened a video conference with conveners of all CETs on July 11, 2020. Even though conducting CETs was the primary idea, the government felt that this is not the right time to conduct the exam,
With the increase in the number of Covid-19 cases in Andhra Pradesh, it is most unlikely to hold the exam. A final decision on AP EAMCET and other entrance exams has been taken on July 13, 20200.
The uncertainty over the exam date has been affecting the preparation of students. JEE Main is scheduled to be conducted in September 2020, and the counselling process based on AP EAMCET will be delayed. Some students appear for AP EAMCET as back up option so that they can take admission in AP engineering colleges if he/ she does not make it to IITs or NITs.
TS EAMCET, which was scheduled from July 06, 2020, was postponed due to the Covid-19 pandemic. TSCHE had made all the arrangements to conduct the exam. However, last-minute High Court decision forced TSCHE to postpone the exam. There is uncertainty on the new exam date for TS EAMCET.
