Lucknow University has got 154 crore rupees budget for the upcoming session of 2016/17. In a meeting of LU court at Malviya Hall of Lucknow University, after lots of debate and arguments budget was finally passed. It was also historical moment as it was the first time last 40 years when the chancellor of the university was also present at the meeting.
An annual report was also presented at the meeting of the annual court of the university. Main points of that reports are as follows:
- Currently, there are total 66 projects, valuing 13.8 crores are in progress.
- A total number of 720 research generals have been published in the last session of University.
- A total number of 115 seminars, workshops and conferences were held.
Earlier in the annual report budget of 46 crore rupees loss was president in front of the financial committee of the university. It was found that annual income of Lucknow University is 109 crore rupees while the annual expenses are 154 crores.
At the end finally after having discussions on various prospects and upcoming events total amount of rupees 154 crores was passed by the committee in the budget the upcoming session 2016-2017. Governor of Uttar Pradesh and Chancellor of Lucknow University Ram Naik said that students of the university will get huge benefits from this budget in the upcoming session.
