Mumbai University Got 2 Acres Land as Donation

In a move to give more access of education to village youth, an education trusts has donated 2 acres of land to Mumbai University.

Panchkroshi Shikshak Prasark Mandal- the Sindhudurg based educational trust, has donated 2 acres of its land to Mumbai University (MU) to open a model college so that youth from the rural area get access to education especially on vocational education.

The land belongs to talere village, adjacent to the National Highway.

“Our trust aims at making higher education available to the village youth, so that they don't need to migrate to distant cities. Already Mumbai University has a couple of model colleges in other districts, which offer various vocational courses,” said an official of the trust.
