With an intention to build successful technology careers and aid startups, CISCO has come up with a plan to train 25,000 students in the area of Internet of Things (IoT), networking and security. Confirming the news, President of CISCO India & SAARC, Mr. Dinesh Malkani expressed that some of the major campuses in India use the technology of CISCO. The company has made a remarkable contribution in the field of education. Now, the company has decided to impart skills to students in the field of Cyber Security and related areas.
Recently, RV College of Engineering and CISCO announced the launch of Centre of Excellence in Internet of Things (IoT). The plan of both the organizations is to impart digital skills to students in the Bengaluru region.
For the past 20 years, CISCO has been making significant contributions in various areas and has also made crucial investments in the country with respect to the Digital India campaign. CISCO is bestowed by Research & Development (R&D) facilities and global delivery centers to carry out various activities.
The Smart Cities Mission of the government is successful to some extent as the government introduced various Digital India initiatives that include computerization of land records, digital lockers, and Aadhaar.
CISCO is also involved in Smart City Mission and is working on various projects like Safe City project in few cities that include Navi Mumbai, Lucknow, and Nagpur. The company is mostly focused on developing smart cities. Currently, CISCO is working on 50 projects to boost research and development in the area of Cyber Security.
