Acharya Nagarjuna University Foundation Day Celebrations on Sept. 30

The 39^th and 40^th foundation day celebrations of Acharya Nagarjuna University (ANU) will take place on September 30, 2016. The announcement was made by Rector of ANU, Prof. Sambasiva Rao. He said that on account of foundation day celebrations, a total number of 22 members have been selected for ‘Prathibha Awards’. As a part of these awards, a sum of Rs. 5,000, a certificate and memento will be awarded for the best research scholars in the field of Arts and Science.

Dr. Reddy Shetty will be awarded ‘Life Time Achievement Award’ for his services in the area of Science. The university will also award the best colleges affiliated to ANU. Here is the list of colleges from Guntur and Prakasam selected for various awards:-

• Chalapathi Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences
• Guntur Government College for Women
• RVR & JC Engineering College

Colleges with Best Laboratory:-

• Sri Velagapudi Ramakrishna Memorial College
• JMJ College for Women
• Samuel George Pharmaceutical College

Best Eco-Friendly Colleges:-

• Bapatla Engineering College
• TJPS College
• Guntur Government College for Women

The university will also award the best faculty in various departments and meritorious students who stood as the toppers at the university level.
