It is not the first time that Anand Kumar's Super 30 has taken away the glory in the JEE Advanced. In 2017, all the 30 students of the batch qualified the exam to take admission in the prestigious IITs. JEE Advanced Result 2017 was announced by IIT Madras on Sunday, June 11.
Anand Kumar has been known for his achievements with his Super-30 initiative. Students from economically weaker sections are shortlisted for the Super-30 JEE Main and JEE Advanced preparation programme.
These students are provided free-of-cost coaching and lodging facilities throughout the preparation period at the Founder’s residence in Patna.
In 2016, 28 out of 30 students had qualified the JEE Advanced exam, whereas, in 2015, 24 students had cleared the exam.
The Super-30 programme was started in 2002 and has achieved a lot of fame over the years. With all of its students bagging admissions in prestigious engineering colleges, the social initiative has gained popularity throughout the world.

Various State Governments and organisations are also planning to replicate the preparation scheme for students throughout India
Talking about the success achieved in 2017, Super-30 Founder Anand Kumar said that these students have proved that they are capable of overcoming all the challenges if provided with the opportunity.

The JEE Advanced 2017 was topped by Sarvesh Mehtani from Chandigarh. He bagged all-India rank 1 and was followed by Pune's Akshat Chugh who secured the second rank.
