Anna University Postpones UG & PG Exams due to Clash with GATE 2021 Exam Dates

Anna University postponed UG & PG degree exams scheduled on February 06 & 13, 2021, due to the clash with GATE 2021 exam dates. The postponed degree exams will be conducted on February 16 & 17.

Anna University has released an official circular stating that UG & PG degree exams scheduled on February 06 & 13, 2021, have been postponed due to the clash with GATE 2021 exam dates . As the entrance exam is scheduled to be conducted on February 06, 07, 13 & 14, 2021, the UG and PG degree exams, which are being conducted in online proctored mode by Anna University have been postponed. Further, the revised dates for the UG & PG degree postponed exams have been announced.

Most of the students have been demanding IIT Bombay to postpone GATE 2021 , as the exam dates are clashing with the university exams. However, IIT Bombay responded that GATE 2021 schedule was released in June 2020, and a circular has been sent to all universities in the respective month about the exam dates. Therefore, GATE 2021 can’t be postponed.

Certain universities’ UG & PG exam dates are clashing with GATE 2021, and it is to be seen whether these universities revise their exam dates to avoid a clash with the national-level entrance exam. According to IIT Bombay, GATE is an exam conducted not only for M.Tech aspirants but also PSU aspirants. Therefore, postponing the exam will affect the aspirants who have spent a lot of months preparing for the exam.
