AP EAMCET 2026 May 12 Shift 1 Paper Review Subject-wise

Based on the reviews received from 30+ stuents from Vijyawada region, teh following initial exam analysis has been prepared -
  • Out of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics subjects, Physics was the toughest subject followed by Mathematics. There were around 8-9 tough questions in Physics, specifically from the law of inertia, kinetic energy, torque and elastic behaviour of solids . Overall, the Physics section was considered tough with an average number of good attempts ranging between 24 and 26.
  • On the other hand, the Mathematics part was time-consuming with a few lengthy calculation-based questions from the standard limits, parametric equations, conics, locus and pair of straight lines . Out of 80 questions in the Mathematics section, around 11 questions were extremely tough, but the rest were doable. The average number of good attempts in Mathematics is around 58-60.
  • The Chemistry section on the Day 1 & Shift 1 exam was 'Moderate', but not 'Easy'. A few questions from Atomic Structure and Stoichiometry were tough , but the rest were doable. The average number of good attempts in the Chemistry part was around 29-31.
  • From Physics, there were also questions on Stress and strain, Hooke’s law, Young’s modulus, Energy stored in stretched wire and Elastic vs plastic deformation
  • From Chemistry, there were also questions on the limiting reagent, Mole concept, Percentage yield, Empirical formula and Gas stoichiometry

List of Questions asked in AP EAMCET 2026 May 12 Shift 1

  • When 4.4 g of carbon dioxide reacts completely with excess sodium hydroxide according to the reaction
  • What is the unit of the Universal Gravitational Constant (G)?
  • If the temperature of an ideal gas is doubled and the pressure is halved, what happens to the volume?
  • There was a question related to A wire of length 2 m and cross-sectional area and Young’s modulus was aksed
  • A question was asked on the wavelength associated with an electron moving with momentum p
  • A question was asked on de Broglie wavelength associated with the electron
  • More questions are yet to be received
Students with a combined score of 60 marks or above have chances of scoring a rank below 5000 as per previous years' trends. In 2025, a combined score of 60 resulted in a 4,900 rank. There is 25% weightage for IPE marks in determining the EAMCET ranks. Therefore, the results are declared in the form of combined score (75% weightage to AP EAMCET marks and 25% weightage to IPE marks).
