Baba Farid College of Well Being Sciences (BFUHS) Faridkot has signed a Memorandum of Understanding and AIIMS Bathinda to set up a Rural Health Training Centre.
Baba Farid College of Well Being Sciences (BFUHS) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) and AIIMS Bathinda to start a rural well being and coaching centre. The RHTC will be set up at a civil hospital of village Badal.
According to the MoU between BFUHS and AIIMS Bathinda will Allie the instruction and coaching of undergraduate and postgraduate students in the premises of the Civil Hospital.
BFUHS Faridkot Vice-Chancellor, Dr, Raj Bahadur and PGIMER Director Dr Jagar Ram has signed a Memorandum of Understanding to set up an urban centre. At present, the PGIMER Director is officiating as the Director of AIIMS Bathinda. The construction work at AIIMS Bathinda is still going on. Due to which the classes are being held at BFUHS Faridkot.

BFUHS Vice-Chancellor Dr Rajj Bahadur informed that as per the MoU one rural and one urban centre will be set up. Also, one agricultural centre will be established at village Badal. The rural centre in the village will offer health services to the rural people and make students learn to work and rural area.The first session of the students will take place in BFUHS campus.

This initiative will enhance the skills of the medical students to how to work in the rural area and will improve the quality of rural health care in the country which is the need of the hour.
