The campus of Banaras Hindu University will see an addition of a new building which has been dedicated to promoting research work. Called the Central Discovery Centre, it will be equipped with the latest and highly advanced instruments to facilitate research work in different branches of science.
In six months, Banaras Hindu University will inaugurate a state-of-the-art centre which will help the students take up research in the different fields of science. The centre, which will be known as the Central Discovery Centre will house 50 different hi-tech instruments and apparatus, which the sources have stated that are difficult to get their hands in India. It is expected to boost the level of BHU to that of Delhi University or Jawaharlal Nehru University and other top universities of India.
A spokesperson from the Banaras Hindu University, Rajesh Singh, has stated that with the help of proper and advanced equipment present at the college, it will be easier to ensure that the quality of the research that will be conducted at the varsity will not be compromised. He further went on to add that the sole purpose of the Central Discovery Centre was to promote quality research as well as ensure that with the use of such advanced instruments, the Varsity can achieve many milestones in the future.
Rajesh Singh continued to mention that if the student wishes to conduct research activities in the stream of science, he will be able to do so in any branch of science. He stated that under one roof, BHU offers the ability to conduct research in areas ranging from Aromatic and Medicinal plants to environmental toxicology among many other branches of science with the help of the advanced instruments.

Singh also mentioned that the need for aspiring researchers to look for institutes and varsities abroad or selected ones in India, which also have advanced instruments or equipment for the researches will now reduce with the establishment of the Central Discovery Centre at BHU. He added that establishing an entire building for this purpose will also result in a lower expense than it would have been to set up different laboratories around the campus. As per the words of the spokesperson, the building has been prepared for the installation of the instruments, however, the process of obtaining the equipment will soon begin.

With the establishment of the new building with the offer of several state-of-the-art instruments for different research purposes, it can be assumed that the scope of conducting research work at the campus of Banaras Hindu University has immensely increased, especially with the type and the number of equipment that will be present at the campus.
