The Indus Entrepreneurs - TiE declared that the TiE Grad finalist WCB of BITS Pilani- Hyderabad Team has secured a spot to compete in Rice Business Plan Competition which will take place in the United States.
Rice Business Plan Competition-RBPC is one of the largest global university competition which will take place in Houston, Texas. 42 universities from around the world are going to take part in this global university competition. The competition is offering cash prizes worth $ 1.5 million. Last year, 10 prestigious colleges took part in the TiE Grad Competition and the winning teams jointly shared the cash prize of Rs. 5 lakh.
Ujjawal Aggarwal, Student and Founder of WCB Robotics, BITS Pilani said that it is the moment of pride for them to be selected for RBPC at Rice University. He also thanked TiE for providing with such a great opportunity and a platform to showcase their model. According to him, this is one of the greatest achievement for the team.
TiE Hyderabad has also declared the launch of the second edition of TiE Grad. The main aim of the programme is to provide assistance to management and engineering colleges to develop world-class entrepreneurship zones within the institutes. They are also planning to introduce structured programme which will guide student regarding entrepreneurship and will organize seminars and expert talks related to the same. This will provide students with theoretical and practical knowledge of entrepreneurship.
