IIIT Hyderabad: 400 Software Professionals to Graduate from AI Programme

IIIT Hyderabad (International Institute of Information Technology) has confirmed that the first cycle of its Foundations of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) programme, conducted by IIIT-H Machine Learning Lab in collaboration with TalentSprint, has been a huge success. A total number of 400 software professionals from 127 leading tech companies will graduate from AI/ML programme next month.

In its ongoing partnership with TalentSprint, IIIT Hyderabad is now ready to scale things up. With an objective to create 10,000 certificate professionals in AI/ ML over the next four years, TalentSprint and IIIT Hyderabad are taking steps to expand executive education programme to multiple cities. The aim is to bridge the gap between state-of-practice industry projects and state-of-the-art academic research in terms of AI/ ML expertise.

Director of IIIT Hyderabad, Mr. PJ Narayanan explained that Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning are the two disruptive technologies, and IIIT Hyderabad is trying to make it accessible to industry professionals from different technology backgrounds.

MD & CEO of TalentSprint, Mr. Santanu Paul pointed that there are close to 10,000 AI/ML professionals across the world. The scale-up will play a magnificent role in making it the largest executive education initiative in the area of AI/ ML, he highlighted.

Initially, only 12% of women enrolled in the executive education programme. However, the number had risen to 20% after the announcement of scholarship model. IIIT Hyderabad and TalentSprint are trying hard to bring a wave in the field of AI/ ML.
