The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) extended the deadline for the submission o online applications to National Eligibility Test (NET) 2017. As of now, the last date for the submission of online applications is November 23, 2016. The applicants can pay the examination fee until November 24, 2016. CBSE is conducting NET on behalf of University Grants Commission (UGC).
Earlier, CBSE announced that the last date for the submission of applications is November 16, 2016. However, it has extended the deadline as most of the students sent recommendations to CBSE.

The students can make corrections in the application form from November 28 to December 3, 2016. The examination will take place on January 22, 2017. The candidates can download the admit cards from December 21, 2016.

The examination will be conducted in 84 subjects at 90 cities across the country.
