The Engineering students of Chirala Engineering college won Kabaddi title at the National Sports meet organized by QIS Enginering College, Ongole on 16-March-2016.
About 16 teams from various colleges participated in the tournament.
Chirala Engineering College team was led by its captain Balaji won over ML Engineering College from Singarayakonda in quarter finals, St.Anns Engineering College in semifinals and the host QIS Engineering college in finals.
The college management organized a press meet to announce the achievement of their students. College Principal said that, “The students of Chirala Engineering College have been regularly winning prizes in competitions conducted by various colleges.” He appreciated the efforts of the physical department of the college for these voctories.
Kabbadi team captain Balaji appreciated the efforts of the players and expressed confidence that this performance would boost up the players. The Inter College tournament was organized by JNTU Kakinada at QIS college for two days.
The team members were felicitated by the college management.
