The Congress leaders pointed that the difficulty level of Gujarati medium question paper was high compared to English medium question paper. These students are being subjected to injustice as many of them were not able to secure admission in the first round of seat allotment. Around 47,583 students had appeared for the NEET examination with a choice of Gujarat medium paper. However, the majority of the students who secured a seat in the first round counselling belonged to the English medium choice. Since the first round admission process is over, the state government shall release a separate merit list of Gujarati students at least for the second round, the party demanded.
