CUET 2022 Biology Exam has been postponed by the NTA keeping in view the current clash CUET faced with NEET UG 2022. To avoid this, CUET Biology papers will now be conducted in Phase 2 i.e., in August 2022.
CUET 2022 Biology Exam Postponed: Keeping in view the demands and concerns of the candidates in view of the clash of CUET with NEET UG 2022, the National Testing Agency (NTA) has declared that CUET UG exam for Biology students has been to Phase 2 i.e., to August 2022 Phase. In the July 11 notice regarding the release of CUET 2022 Advance City Intimation Slip, NTA wrote, “Candidates who have opted for Physics, Chemistry, or Biology subjects have been taken to Phase II, keeping in view NEET UG 2022 being held on 17 July 2022 (Sunday).”
This decision comes amid the demand for postponement of NEET UG. However, understandably, NEET UG is the biggest exam in India with over 18.72 lakh registrations and postponing it is as daunting as it is infeasible. So, to aid the candidates who have been stuck between the two biggest exams in the country, NTA has shifted CUET Biology 2022 examination to August 2022 to give students enough time to prepare better for both.
Moreover, Phase 2 of the examination has further been postponed by 10 days, that is, CUET 2022 will now be conducted from July 15 to August 20 instead of July 15 to August 10. This extension has been given to exclude the other exam days and holidays, and also to accommodate a large number of applications and combinations of subjects. For Phase 1, NTA will release the admit cards on July 12, 2022 at 6 PM while the second-largest examination after NEET-UG will be held at 500 cities in India and in 10 cities outside India. This year, over 14.9 lakh candidates have registered for CUET and have applied for 54,555 unique combinations of subjects. As CUET is being conducted for the first time and candidates do not have the previous years papers and other details to prepare better, candidates are advised to solve CUET 2022 Mock Test which is provided by the NTA for the same reason.
