The selected candidates (those who feature on the merit list) can make a note of below instructions -

• The candidates must appear in-person for the offline certificate verification process
• They must carry all the relevant certificates (original and zerox copies) 
• The exact date to appear for the counselling shall be available on the call letter that will be released on May 30

Will RGUKT Basar Declare Cutoff for Phase 1?

Usually, RGUKT Basar does not release a cutoff list for Phase 1 admission. Over 1600 students are expected to be shortlisted in the Phase 1 merit list.

Fee Reimbursement Deatils

Students who are eligible for Reimbursement of Tuition Fee (RTF) as per the guidelines issued by the Government of Telangana from time to time shall be exempted from payment of tuition fee.

Annual Fee for 2026 Selected Students

The tuition fee for candidates who studied in schools situated in Telangana is ₹80,000/- per annum for the PUC Programme and ₹80,000/- per annum for the B.Tech Programme. Fee reimbursement is applicable for eligible reserved category students.

Total Fees to be paid at the time of admission

The total amount payable at the time of admission is ₹5,200, but ₹4,700/- for SC/ST candidates.

Tie Breaking Policy while Preparing Merit List

Tie-breaking policy is more relevant in RGUKT Basar merit list preparation because there are numerous instances where 2 or more students score similar marks. The tie-breaking is resolved through the following method -

• Higher marks in Mathematics
• Higher marks in General Science
• Higher marks in English
• Higher marks in Social Studies
• Higher marks in the 1st Language
• Older candidate as per the Date of Birth
• The lowest random number obtained from the hall ticket number
