The students of Central University of South Bihar (CUSB) visited 3 villages as a part of the campus outreach programme. The students and the faculty members of the Panchananpur block in the district of Gaya on 4th April 2016, with the view to assessing & creating awareness about the educational, vocational, environmental, social & health issues.
The students led by a faculty member Mr. Tapan Kumar Basantia went on to study & collect data about the educational status of the villagers at Nepa. The pupils also assessed that the local schools on various parameters. It had also identified a group of twelve young students with the support of the village headman & offered them all help and support from the side of the university in their preparation for further studies.
At Tepa, the Central University of South Bihar (CUSB) students, under the guidance of the faculty members Mitanjali Sahoo, Rinki & Piyush Kumar Singh, conducted a door-to-door visit & collected the very basic data regarding the villager's awareness of nature conservation, environmental protection & pollution control. The group also taught the village residents about the importance of the protection of the environment and the conservation of natural resources.
At Dariyapur Village, the students led by faculty member Ms. Shambhavi visited a total of sixty-five homes & collected data on hygiene and health issues. The students also counselled the villagers on the know-how of staying fit & healthy by adopting the good practices & maintaining the cleanliness in their surroundings and homes.
