The entrepreneurship curriculum that will be introduced by the Delhi government will have no books, evaluation, exams or tests. According to the reports, the government will launch the entrepreneurship curriculum as a pilot project from April. It will first be started in 15 to 20 schools in Delhi. The curriculum will be launched fully in all Delhi government schools from July 2018.
The State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCRET) confirmed the launch of the entrepreneurship curriculum during the governing council meeting. The formal release of the respective framework will be released on 13th February 2019. Manish Sisodia, Delhi Education Minister chaired the council meeting of State Council of Educational Research and Training.
A committee comprising of 16 SCRET teachers, NCERT teachers, private school teachers and educationists are working on the curriculum. The launch will be attended by many eminent personalities such as the Chief Minister, entrepreneurs from different fields and experts.
The entrepreneurship curriculum will have no books or study material instead it will be based on activities and practical skills. It will be more about practical learning and enhancing skills of the students in the field of entrepreneurship.
The curriculum will be introduced in schools for classes 9th to 12th. The course will help students gain knowledge about entrepreneurship programme and enhance their skills which will ultimately help students build a better future for themselves.
