'DKTE' Celebrates 'Swarbharat' Program
DKTE institute organizes the 'Swarprabhat’ program every year to welcome the upcoming year. This year as well, the programme was celebrated with great enthusiasm. The ‘Balkrishna Bhuwa' club played many songs. 'Katyar Kaljat Ghusali' film was also displayed and the songs of the movie "pradhyanya" played throughout the event. The Program got a lot of positive response from the listeners.
SThe programme witnessed a lot of singing, playing and dancing. Artist presented many cool songs in the program. Many students were among the audience and came in large numbers to be a part of the event. The program begun at 4.30 A.M. & ended at 7 A.M.
Many old songs also played during the programme. The main aim of the DKTE Organisation was to entertain the people and they were able to fulfill the same.
The program was inaugurated by the President of the Organization Mr.Kallappanna Awade, former Minister Prakash Awade, Secretory Mrs.Sapana Awade, Apte Temple Chairman Adv. Swanand Kulkarni. Mr Indumati Awade, Kishori Awade, R V Ketkar, B B Kagwade, Sarjerao Patil, principal P V Kadole The program was anchored by Sachin Kanitkar.
About DKTE Institute: In spite of the process of phenomenal growth of the textile industry which was taking place at Ichalkaranji during last 25 years there was no educational institute up to 1980 which could cater a industry's need of technically trained man power. The local industry was facing handicapped due to the dearth of technically qualified personnel. Different co-op. organizations from Ichalkaranji therefore came together under the leadership of Mr. K.B. Awade (Ex. M.P.) to educational society in 1981 with a view to start institutes and colleges to cater to education in the field of Textiles. Engineering. Management, Medicines and others so as to provide education facilities in various fields to students of this rural area of western region of the Maharashtra State and also to support the growth of Industry by providing technically qualified professionals.
