DRDO, which stands for the Defence Research and Development Organisation, has invited applications for ‘Dare to Dream’ contest from interested students/ researchers/ start-ups across the country. Interested students can fill the online application form for 'Dare to Dream' contest through the official website of DRDO. Students must choose a challenge on the official website and provide a solution for it.
The application process for the contest is underway and the last date to apply for the contest is March 31, 2019. Candidates who are interested to apply for the contest can apply either as individuals or a start-up. Start-ups controlled by a single person can also take part in the contest.
Rs. 10 lakh will be awarded to those winning the contest in start-up category, whereas, Rs 5 lakh will be awarded to the individual category. Also, Rs 5, 4 and 3 lakh for a person and Rs 10, 8 and 6 lakh under start-up category will be awarded to top three candidates. Candidates who have been selected will be informed regarding the same.

Eligibility Criteria for DRDO Contest
To apply for the contest, applicants must be at least 18 years old. The organisation has not specified any upper age limit.
Applying under the start-up category means it should be under the control of Indians and must by recognised by DIPP, which stands for the Department of Industry and Policy Promotion.
How to Apply for DRDO 'Dare to Dream' Contest
Interested students/ researchers/ start-ups can follow the steps below to register for DRDO 'Dare to Dream' contest -
Visit the official website of DRDO, i.e drdo.gov.in
After that, click on ‘dare to dream: DRDO Innovation contest’.
Applicants will be redirected to a new page.
To register, click on the top end of the page.
Click on ‘individual’ or ‘start-up’ and fill all the details.

After registering, applicants will get an OTP on the email id/mobile number and a user ID will be generated on the basis of which candidates will be required to fill up the application form and share their proposal of innovation.
