The main agenda of the DU online management system is to keep the track of student attendance and to streamline the attendance process in the DU colleges. However, the online attendance portal faced a lot of criticism from the faculty, academic council and the member of the executive view. According to them, varsity took this decision in haste without statutory sanction regarding the same.
As per the Delhi University attendance regulation, it is compulsory for students to maintain 66% attendance. Students who are unable to fulfil the criteria are detained and are unable to appear in the university exams.
