In the polytechnic colleges of Telangana, a total number of 34,901 seats in polytechnic colleges are empty for the academic session of 2019-2020. Among these empty seats, 23,055 seats are in the private unaided colleges, 300 are in the private aided colleges, and 11,546 seats are in the government colleges. All of these seats are available in around 145 polytechnic colleges in Telangana.
The candidates who have qualified the Polytechnic Common Entrance Test (POLYCET) of 2019 will be considered for filling these seats. A web-based counselling will be held for admitting the students for these seats. On 17th May 2019, Friday, the processing fee payment and slot booking for the verification of certificates commenced. The students have to book a slot to get their certificates verified at the centre that will be designated to them.
The candidates who belong to the special categories like the Children of Armed Forces Personnel, National Cadet Corps, Anglo Indians, Physically Challenged, etc., will have to book a slot duly selecting the centre of helpline of the Government Polytechnic Masab Tank in Hyderabad. The verification of their certificates will be done at this centre.
In a press release, the Commissionerate of Technical Education said that the candidates who reside in the area of Quli Qutub Shah Urban Development Authority will have to produce a residence certificate and a ration card in order to join in the QQ Government Polytechnic college of Hyderabad. These students will have to book their slots by duly selecting the help centre of the QQ Government Polytechnic for the verification of their certificates. This was declared by the convenor.
Candidates who will attend the certificate verification process may exercise the web options up to the date of 24th May 2019, Friday.
