Essex University, England and GD Goenka University, India signed a Memorandum of Understanding to focus more on areas of Research including Education, Supervisor Development and Training and Curriculum Development. It will also focus on Student Exchange and Training programmes including the administrative and academic staff exchanges and study tours.
The signing of the Memorandum was done by the Professor and Vice-chancellor of the University of Essex, Anthony Forster along with the Director, Communications and International Relations, Vanessa Potter and International Partnership officer, University of Essex, Sally Day. The event of the signing of Memorandum of Understanding was done under the presence of personnel of GD Goenka University. Deans of different schools of GD Goenka, President Professor Suku Bhaskaran, Registrar Dr. Nitesh Bansal, Professor Vice-Chancellor Sanjeevi Shanthakumar along with the staff members of GD Goenka University, were present in the MoU event.
Addressing the dignitaries present in the event, Anthony Forster delivered his expression of thoughts on Internationalization of Higher Education with context to the immense level of changes that can be introduced for the higher education system in both the nations. He also said that with the advancement and changes in the globalization and increased level of standards for the Higher Education the collaboration will turn out to be a success in all respects for the nations and universities.
