The Institute of Law, Kurukshetra University is organizing its 1st National Moot Court Competition which is based on Juvenile Law.

Date:

  • March 12, 2016 to March 13, 2016

Venue:

  • Institute of Law, Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra

Eligibility:

  • 5 year LL.B. programme in India

  • 3 year LL.B. programme in India

Rules:

  • Minimum members of a team- 2
  • Maximum members of a team- 3

Note-

  • Out of 3 members of a team, two are speakers and one researcher.
  • Out of 2 members of a team, Both should be speakers.

Online Registration:

Register your team on the official website of the University on or before February 12, 2016 by 5:00 PM.

Registration by Post:

The duly filled in hard copies of the Registration form along with a demand draft of INR 2,000/- (Indian Rupees Two Thousand Only)must reach the Organizers by February 17, 2016. Send via speed post.

Demand Draft:

The demand draft of INR 2,000/- (Indian Rupees Two Thousand Only) shall be drawn in favour of “DIRECTOR / NATIONAL MOOT COURT, INSTITUTE OF LAW, KURUKSHETRA UNIVERSITY” payable at Kurukshetra.

Rewards & Prizes:

  • Best Team: the Team winning the final round of the Competition shall be given a trophy and a cash prize of INR 10,000/- (Indian Rupees Ten Thousand Only)
  • Runners Up: the runners up team in the final round of the Competition shall be given a trophy and a cash prize of INR 6000/- (Indian Rupees Six Thousand Only)
  • Best Speaker: The speaker having the highest score in the preliminary rounds shall be given a cash prize of INR 2500/- (Indian Rupees Two Thousand Five Hundred Only).
  • Best Memorial: The team having the highest average memorial score from both sides shall be given a cash prize of INR 2500/- (Indian Rupees Two Thousand Five Hundred Only).
  • Best Researcher: The participant having the highest score in the researcher’s test shall be given a cash prize of INR 1500/- (Indian Rupees One Thousand Five Hundred Only). Certificates of merit shall be given to all the teams qualifying for quarter finals and beyond. Certificate of participation shall be given to all the participating teams.

Award Ceremony: March 13, 2016. No certificate will be given to the team before or after the valedictory function.
