Freeze, Float and Slide after UCEED Seat Allotment 2024: Important instructions

UCEED Seat Allotment 2024: Candidates who have registered for UCEED 2024 shall note that the seat allotment process will begin today, April 10, 2024. As soon as the seat allotment is released, candidates will have to log in to their portal to check the seat allotment. As per the seats allotted, candidates will have to accept or decline the seats allotted. Based on the responses by the candidates, the seats will be filled. After the first round of the seat allotment process is completed, as per seat availability, the second round of UCEED Seat Allotment 2024 will be released on May 10, 2024. 

UCEED Seat Allotment 2024: Freeze, Float, and Slide

Those who have been allotted seats through UCCED Seat Allotment 2024 in the first rounds should be aware of the terms and options available for the candidates to accept, upgrade, or decline the seats allotted. Candidates will have to "Freeze", "Float", or "Slide" the seat allotment. So, here are the details on all the options and how to choose them: 

Freeze	The freeze options allow the candidates to confirm their seats. Candidates who have been allotted seats as per their first choice, shall either "Freeze"(accept) or decline the seat allotment. If the seat allotment is declined, the seat allotment stands cancelled.  Once the seat allotment is cancelled, candidates will not be considered for the upcoming seat allotment rounds to be conducted by the officials.  Choosing the "Freeze" option means that candidates have accepted the current offer, and do not wish to participate in the upcoming rounds.
Float	"Float" option indicates to "accept with the option to be considered for upward movement", which means, candidates will be considered for upward movement in the further rounds.  If candidates opt for the float option, the current seat allocation will stand accepted with the condition that they shall be considered for upward movement in the upcoming rounds.  Candidates who have been allotted seats as per the Second /Third / Fourth / Fifth choice of the institute will have the option to "Float" ,"Freeze", or decline.  Also, if the candidate has been allotted seats in the higher choice of institution, the current seat allotment will stand forfeited automatically.
Slide	Candidates may decline the UCEED Seat Allotment 2024 by choosing the "Slide" option, which means the candidate is not satisfied with the seat allotment, and wish to exit the seat allotment process.

Important Instructions for UCEED Seat Allotment 2024 

Here are some additional details to be followed by the candidates regarding UCEED Seat Allotment 2024:

• To accept the seats allotted, candidates will either have to choose, "Freeze" or "Float". Candidates will have to pay the seat acceptance fee online in total. 
• Once the seat acceptance fee is paid, it need not be paid twice, if the candidate is allotted higher choices in the further rounds. 
• The seat acceptance fee will only be accepted once. 
• Candidates who decline the seats, after paying the seat acceptance fee will be refunded. However, if the candidates have been moved upward, the difference in the seat acceptance fee for the fresh college will have to be paid, and the paid fee will be auto-transferred to the second institution. 
• With UCEED Seat Allotment 2024, candidates can be assured that the acceptance fee will be adjusted at the admission fee while joining.
