IIT Kanpur has scheduled the GATE 2023 exam on February 4, 5, 11, and 12, 2023 in the online mode. Candidates should carry the GATE 202 admit card along with the other required documents such as photo id proof to the exam centre. Entry without the required documents to the exam hall will not be permissible to appear for the GATE 2023 exam. Also, the candidates should obey certain exam day instructions inside the exam hall. If the candidates will be found to any unfair means, then they will not be allowed to continue the GATE exam.

GATE 2023 Exam Day Instructions
The candidates can check out the GATE 2023 exam day instructions (that is do’s and don’ts) here in the following section-
- Candidates are advised to log in to the GATE exam portal at least 20 minutes before the start of the exam. Candidates should utilize the time by reading all the important instructions
- Candidates can use a scribble pad at the exam centre for rough work and calculations. After the exam, the candidates should return the scribble pad to the invigilator
- Candidates should write their registration number on the scribble pad before beginning to scribble on it
- Candidates are advised to click on the tab “View all questions” before starting to attempt the questions. It will help them to identify which sections or questions should be attempted first
- Candidates should attempt the much easier questions in the first half of the exam
- Students should not forget to click on the “Save” option for submitting the response. If the candidates will forget to click on the “Save” button and proceed to the next question, then the response will not be submitted. For the same, the candidates will have to come back later to submit the response again. The entire process will be time-consuming
- Candidates should not attempt the unsure questions first, otherwise, it will take much time to solve those questions
- The students can note down the question numbers which will include the use of the scribble pads
