GATE COAP Round 2 has been started today, May 27, 2022. The candidates can accept the offer of seat allotment latest by May 29, 2022. Check the seat acceptance process here.
NEW DELHI: GATE COAP round 2 2022 offers to fill all the seats to MTech in all the participating colleges or for PSU recruitment. The IIT Bombay organizes the GATE COAP Round 2 from May 27 to May 29, 2022 (till 11.59 pm). All the participating institutes look for the COAP registration number for completing the admissions. The students who have ap]plied for the MTech p]ro]gram in any of the participating colleges, will receive an admission offer via COAP.

GATE COAP Round 2 Dates 2022
Before starting to check the Round 2 seat acceptance process, the candidates should check the GATE COAP round 2 dates here in the following table.

GATE COAP Round 2 Seat Acceptance Process 2022
Similar to the GATE COAP Round 1, the students will get three options to choose once the seat allotment result will be published by Common Offer Acceptance Portal (COAP). The detailed seat acceptance process for round 2 is discussed in the following section.
- Accept and Freeze
- Retain and Wait
- Reject and Wait
Note: The candidates should choose any of the above mentioned three choices. Those, who have not been allotted any seat, should wait for the subsequent rounds of seat allotment.
Accept and Freeze
Check the steps for choosing 'Accept and Freeze' option:
- Choose the most preferred offer
- Select the 'Accept and Freeze' option
- Submit the preference
- Visit the official website of IIT/PSU
- Complete the admission or joining procedure before the last date
Retain and Wait
If the students are satisfied with the GATE COAP seat allotment partially and want to wait for upgrading to the higher preferences, then they should choose the ‘Retain and Wait’ option. Check the steps here for choosing the 'Retain and Wait' option:
- Choose the most preferred offer
- Select 'Retain and Wait' offer
- Submit the preferences
- Go to the COAP website for Round 3 offer
Reject and Wait
If the candidates are not satisfied with the seat allotment, then they must choose the Reject and Wait option and should wait for the subsequent round. Check the steps here for choosing the 'Reject and Wait' option:
- Select 'Reject and Wait' offer
- Submit the preferences
- Wait for Round 3 offer
