In the most recent developments of the management education domain, the programmes offered by Great Lakes Institute of Management (GLIM) have been accredited by AMBA. The accreditation has been awarded for a duration of four years and will be valid till 2021.

According to the statement released by the institute, this international accreditation has given Great Lakes a place amongst the most reputed business schools across the globe including INSEAD France, HEC Paris, London Business School, SDA Bocconi School of Management, Milan and IIM Calcutta.
In 2014, only the PGPM and PGXPM programmes provided by Great Lakes were accredited by AMBA board. However, the board has accredited all the programmes offered by the institute after careful evaluation. The accreditation will be valid from the academic session 2017.

Founder, Dean and Chairman of GLIM, Dr. Bala V Balachandran, expressed his delight at the achievement of the institute. He also added that only the top 2% of the business schools across the globe have received this accreditation.
Dr. Bala also added that the news has come at the right time as the institute is about to start admissions for the new management batch and is looking forward to welcoming the new business aspirants.
