Gujarat Department of Education will now monitor the Teachers attendance through App-based System so that they can maintain a tab on their daily activities and the time they spend in college.
The Gujarat Department of Education has decided to use the App Base System to monitor the attendance and activities of government college teachers. The app will help to keep a tab on their daily activities and the time they spend in college. Bhupendr-asinh Chudasama, Gujarat Education Minister will launch the app system in all 109 government colleges & other 47 technical and polytechnical institutes across the state. The App system was created by two students & one faculty member namely Bhavya Shah, Jyoti Patel, and Professor Chetan Bhatt.
Principal Secretary Education, Anju Sharma informed that the department has been working on the attendance system of faculty members for a long time. The mobile application will only be functional on college Wi-Fi and the faculty members can mark their time of entry and departure. At the end of the day, principal, commissioner and principal secretary can check and keep a tab of the faculty members attendance as well as their working hours through the dashboard.

Professor Chetan Bhatt, the project mentor, said a mobile application MAS for Android phone is made accessible on the play store where members of the faculty can also access their individual schedule for the day along with the participation. Apart from this, Students can rate the faculty's lecture and practical performance. One of the interesting features about the app is that it will automatically request the reason for the early entry if the faculty members are late for the day and same is the case if the faculty is absent.
