HSSLC Physics paper leaked, probe ordered
The Physics question paper of the ongoing Higher Secondary (HSSLC) examination of the Assam Higher Secondary Education Council (AHSEC) was leaked as report from the media.
The AHSEC had to cancel the examination following a complaint from Dhubri’s BN College authorities. They said the question paper went viral through mobile phones of students.
The situation has caused embarrassment to the AHSEC in regard of which, an official of the AHSEC said, “We verified the complaint and found it to be authentic, following which the examination was cancelled. We have instituted an internal inquiry into the development.”
The examination was scheduled for 1.30 pm.
Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi ordered an immediate inquiry into the matter and said that the probe should be handed over to the CBI, if necessary.
The AASU (All Assam Students’ Union) said the developments amounted to playing with the lives of the students, undermining the credibility of AHSEC. The Students’ Union also demanded that the culprits be held and punished immediately.
