Three Hyderabad Students Win in World Robofest 2019

Three students studying in different schools in Hyderabad teamed up and participated in the event Robofest 2019. They secured the second and third ranks in two categories of the event.

Three Hyderabad Students Win in World Robofest 2019

The Lawrence Technological University (LTU) of Michigan had organised an international event, Robofest 2019. Three students from Hyderabad who participated in this event secured the second and third positions in three categories of Robofest 2019.

Kukatpally Suhas Devulapalli, a student of class 12 of DAV Public School, Aarnav Devulapalli, a student of class 10 of Sentia: The Global School, and Tarun Mukhesh, a student of class 6 in Manthan International School, Tellapur have achieved these victories. These three students were trained at Tix Robotics, Miyapur.

A tweet from TSIC (the Telangana State Innovation Cell) said that it was a proud moment for them and for the whole nation as these three young champions who belong to Hyderabad have secured the second and third positions in three different categories at the event of International Robofest 2019. This victory has been achieved by India for the first time in twenty years.

The team of these three students from Hyderabad was named ‘Teqq Televisors’ and it secured the second position in two categories called Game (Sr Game) categories and Unknown Mission Challenge. They also managed to secure the third place in the category of Bottle Sumo in which they had to push bottles or opponents off the table.

A total number of 250 teams from 16 countries have participated in this event of Robofest organised by LTU. They all competed in the different divisions of junior, senior, and college level.

Robofest is an event that encourages students to have fun while they are in the process of learning Technology, Science, Mathematics, Engineering, and Computer Science (STEM and Computers). Students participate in the event and construct, design, and programme robots during the event. Robofest was incepted in the year 1999 and since then, over 25,000 participants have competed in it.
