IGNOU's B.Com programme will allow students to study B.Com with major in a financial programme from IGNOU along with the foundation or intermediate course with the ICAI.
Indira Gandhi National Open University - IGNOU has started the application process for Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com) course with majors in Finance and Cost Accounting. It is a new course launched by IGNOU and will start from January 2019.
The IGNOU B.Com majors in Finance and Cost Accounting is designed in collaboration with Institute of Cost and Works and the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.
Key Features of IGNOU B.Com Majors in Finance and Cost Accounting 2019
Students can study the respective B.Com programme with major in the financial programme from IGNOU itself and can also pursue foundation/intermediate course with the ICAI.
The course has 104 credits in total. Out of these, 80 credits are of ICAI Foundation/ Intermediate Course and the remaining 24 credits are from IGNOU.
The main objective of the B.Com programme is to enhance the knowledge of students in finance and cost accounting. Apart from theoretical knwoledge, the course will also help in imparting practical skills to students.

IGNOU B.Com Majors in Finance and Cost Accounting Eligibility Criteria 2019
A candidate who has passed class 12th or equivalent programme can apply for the programme. Students who have cleared ICAI’s intermediate course can apply directly for the course.
Age Criteria: There are no age criteria for the respective course.

The minimum duration of the course is 3 years and the fees for the entire course is Rs.6,000.
