The Indira Gandhi National Open University will now be offering a certificate course in Persian language. The candidates who will be pursuing the programme will be able to develop their knowledge on the culture as well as the language of Persian. Here is what you will need to pursue it.
The students who wish to pursue a foreign language from the Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) will now be able to pursue a certificate course in the Persian Language. The language will be provided by the School of Foreign Language of IGNOU. The certificate course will be provided via the Open and Distance Learning mode (ODL). The course has been designed for those students who have an interest in pursuing an education in Persian culture and language.
IGNOU Eligibility Criteria for Certificate Course in Persian 2019
Sources state that the programme has been initiated by the Indira Gandhi National Open University so as to provide the interested candidates with language skills such as vocabulary, pronunciation, grammar, synonyms & antonyms as well as basic communicative expertise. The students who pursue the programme will be able to communicate both in oral as well as written forms of communication. Sources added that the students who pursue the programme will be able to communicate efficiently in any of the Persian or Iranian countries that speak the language.
The INGOU certificate course in the Persian Language will include two major courses, which are the Basics of Persian and Communication Skills. In Basic of Persian, the students will be able to expand on their beginner level linguistic knowledge of the Persian Language. Meanwhile, the Communication Skills course will help the students to develop their communications skills at the breakthrough level.

The programme will be taught to the students in both English as well as the Persian Languages. The students will be pursuing the programme for a minimum duration of 6 months to a maximum duration of 2 years. The cost to pursue the programme from IGNOU will be ₹1,800 for the entire programme. Presently, the programme is available in regional centres that are situated in Delhi, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Lucknow, Noida, Patna as well as Srinagar.
