IIM Bangalore will celebrate its 44th Foundation Day on Oct 28, which will be themed around ‘New Empowerment’. Distinguished Alumni Awards (DAA) for IIM-B will be presented during the event.
Indian Institute of Management (IIM-Bangalore) is all set to celebrate its 45th Foundation Day on October 28, 2018. Different activities and events are lined up for the celebrations. The Foundation Day celebrations of IIM Bangalore will witness the presence of former directors of IIM Bangalore. As a customary, IIM Bangalore will also organise Distinguished Alumni Awards (DAA) ceremony.
During the 45th Foundation Day celebrations, Professor G Raghuram – Director of IIM Bangalore will present a detailed report on the institute’s achievements. The panel discussion on a specific theme will be followed wherein former directors of IIM Bangalore will take part and share their views.

The theme of 45th Foundation Day celebrations of IIM Bangalore is ‘Real Empowerment'. The foundation day lecture on the theme will be delivered by Founder & CEO of Saatchi & Saatchi Focus, Malavika R. Haritha. The lecture will begin at 5:30 PM at IIM Bangalore auditorium.
This year, IIM Bangalore will award Distinguished Alumni Awards to: -
- PC Musthafa, CEO and Co-Founder of iD Fresh Food India Private Limited
- Co-Founder of The Ganga Trust, Mr. S Vaidyanathan
- Chief Marketing and Communications Officer and President of Healthcare Business - Master Card, Mr. MV Rajamannar

All the above-mentioned personalities are the esteemed alumni of IIM Bangalore. It will be a proud moment for IIMB to award and honour the distinguished alumni for their vital professional experience and contribution to academia, society and industry. The recipients of DAA will receive a citation and their names will be engraved on the Wall of Fame at IIMB.
